It's important to remember that most sunless-tanning products will not protect you from the sun's UVA and UVB rays, so if you're planning to head outside to show off your new glow, be sure to apply some sunscreen.

While wearing your colour guide it is recommended that you:

Avoid wearing tight clothes for at least 5 hours
Avoid wearing a tight bra, socks or shoes after your tanning session. Sandals or flip-flops are a good choice
Do not apply moisturiser, deodorants or shave or wax
Avoid strenuous exercise; sweating can inhibit the development of your tan
Do not sit on leather or light coloured fabrics until your colour guide is washed off, as colour guides can stain
Hydrated skin is essential in maintaining your sunless tan so moisturise regularly.
Pat skin dry after bathing to help your tan last longer.
Chlorine in swimming pools may bleach your tan or cause it to come off unevenly.
Excessive sweating may cause your tan to fade unevenly.
Use gentle shower products:
Some soaps are too harsh... using them can take tan off in patches. Use soaps and body washes that are sodium laurel sulphate free. Sodium laurel sulphate is a harsh foaming agent.
